Hi,
According to census records my distant relatives lived in Comet House for at least 20 years (1881 - 1901), maybe more. Their family name was Thornton - Robert, wife, Eleanor and several children.
They were connected to the name Garthwaite.
Is anyone familir with this property please, do you know of any mention of a Garthwaite connection?
